Berlin — Chancellor Angela Merkel and regional leaders have agreed to extend Germany’s coronavirus curbs as they step up their efforts to check the spread of the disease.
On a video call on Tuesday, Merkel and the premiers of Germany’s 16 states decided to prolong existing lockdown rules — which include closing schools and non-essential stores — until mid-February, according to a person familiar with the agreement, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information...
