Miami/New York — Florida residents are bracing for a hurricane that threatens to smack into the centre of the state over the Labor Day weekend, and US President Donald Trump said it appears the storm’s winds will be “unbelievably high.”
Dorian gained power late on Thursday night, jumping from 137km/h to 165km/h and with higher wind gusts, making it a Category 2 storm on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale for measuring hurricane intensity...
