Brasilia/Rio de Janeiro — Brazil’s far-right president, Jair Bolsonaro, accused nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) on Wednesday of burning down the Amazon rainforest to hurt his government, as a growing global outcry against the wildfires raged through social media.
