Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is due to arrive in SA on Thursday, where he will meet President Jacob Zuma.It will be Mnangagwa’s first official visit to SA since he assumed the presidency following a "soft coup" in November. He is now seeking to resuscitate Zimbabwe’s ailing economy.The two heads of state will "share perspectives on various issues of mutual importance, such as regional, continental and international developments," the Presidency said in a statement.Over the years, diplomatic and economic relations between SA and Zimbabwe have been cordial, in spite of former president Robert Mugabe’s tyrannical rule that brought Zimbabwe to its knees.In the past two years alone more than 40 Memoranda of Understanding and agreements have been signed in various sectors including security, energy, agriculture, mining, infrastructure development, trade, transport and arts and culture.
