Some investors, however, hedged their bets the easy way, by writing a check to Autotech Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture-capital company focused on the future of transportation. In its five years, it has scored some pretty big hits, including early investments in Lyft, DeepScale (acquired by Tesla in October), and Xnor.ai (acquired by Apple in January)...
