Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has challenged her players to fight for their places at the African Women’s Championship in Ghana later in 2018 as they prepare to kick off their regional Cosafa tournament in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday. Ellis has selected a strong squad that includes mostly overseas-based stars‚ but says the door is open for others to stake a claim in the squad for the continental finals as the team bid to reach a first Fifa Women’s World Cup in France in 2019.
