Here are five reasons why coach Rassie Erasmus made the right call when he appointed Siya Kolisi Springbok captain for the test against England. • Natural leadership: It is one of those traits that is hard to define, but impossible to miss. When Kolisi walks into a room‚ people tend to notice and when he speaks‚ they listen. • Emotional maturity: He is only 26 but has more maturity and clarity than many older players. Coming from a humble background‚ losing his mother when he was 15 and having to fend for himself from a young age is part of it. But he has also adopted his half siblings and he is ploughing back into the Zwide rugby community where he grew up.
