Wayde van Niekerk kicked off his return to Potchefstroom in bizarre fashion on Tuesday evening as he sheared the left start block off the frame at the start of his 400m race.
The block bounced backwards a few metres and the Olympic champion slipped badly, forcing him to play catch-up before winning the race in 45.92sec...
