Trainer Sebastiaan Rothmann says he expects Jabulani Makhense to scale greater heights than the WBA Pan African junior welterweight title he won at the weekend. The 23-year-old Makhense caused arguably the upset of the year when he easily outclassed SA and WBF Intercontinental champion Xolani “Tiger” Mcotheli over 12 rounds at Emperors Palace on Sunday afternoon. Rothmann‚ a former SA‚ WBU and IBO cruiserweight champion‚ said the best of Makhense is yet to come. ‘‘Jabulani is a talented fighter‚” he said. ‘‘I’ve said this before and I am still saying it now: give him time‚ he will go on to win big titles in future.
