TOP runner Charné Bosman has welcomed the return of the Nike Soweto Marathon, which she described as a unique event.Bosman, 38, said she was looking forward to winning her third Soweto Marathon title. The race is scheduled for November 2."The People’s Race" was cancelled last year at the 11th hour for lack of sponsorship. The last time the marathon was sponsored was in 2009."This is a special marathon, it has a rich history. It is the only marathon in the world with a route that includes a street that housed two Nobel Prize winners," said Bosman, referring to the fact that Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu used to live in Vilakazi Street in Orlando."I’m delighted the marathon is back. What I love about the marathon is that the community of Soweto has embraced it," said Bosman. "There was one year where there was a problem with water along the route.
