There is a reason that people tie long elastic ropes to their ankles and dive off bridges, or jump out of aeroplanes with a bag of silk strapped to their backs. It is a guaranteed way of achieving the adrenaline rush that sport, either played or viewed, occasionally but not always delivers.
They do the job, at least for a while, but they are artificially manufactured and the breathless thrill does not last beyond the first half a dozen jumps. (Apparently.)..
