Parliament is not prepared for the possible influx of independent candidates who may be elected to the National Assembly after the 2024 polls, DA leader John Steenhuisen says.
Considering that parliament works on a proportional system in which allocations for each political party representative are based on the number of votes received, accommodating independent campaigns would be like “injecting fish into a system designed for fowl”, Steenhuisen said...
