President Cyril Ramaphosa will give the National Prosecuting Authority extra power to go after those implicated in state capture, by signing the proclamation to establish the new investigative directorate before parliament closes on Wednesday Ramaphosa made the fight against corruption and restoring credibility to the NPA priorities when he took over office from predecessor Jacob Zuma. In his state of the nation address in February, he promised the establishment of the investigative directorate, to be housed in the office of the national director of public prosecutions Shamila Batohi.
