Stop whining and step up, says Gordhan – SA needs activists
Former finance minister Pravin Gordhan talks leadership, corruption and the economy at the Nedgroup Investments Private Lounge
All South Africans need to contribute to economic transformation because a stable country first needs an inclusive economy, says former finance minister Pravin Gordhan. Speaking at the recent Nedgroup Investments Private Lounge held in association with the Financial Mail, Gordhan said South Africans had to become activists and drive projects that would make a difference rather than whine about the economic situation. Business has a key role to play in growing the economy but South Africa needs to make serious changes to the way it does business. “Capitalism needs a fundamental shake-up in terms of mindset and the concept of social justice,” said Gordhan.
