Like all political appointees, Tom Moyane now thinks he was appointed as South African Revenue Service commissioner on merit. Politicians manipulate the screening and selection processes by appointing people they trust will control their policy implementation. I always find it amusing that bureaucrats like Moyane fail to realise that when there’s a change of leadership, their positions become untenable. Pumezo Jonas Port Elizabeth
