Onkgopotse JJ Tabane missed the point in his latest column (Multinationals do not share our interests, November 22). Many multinational companies have acted in concert with government leaders and cadres to plunder our economy. There are examples in almost every state-owned entity (SOE). Prasa is one — in the rush to count their loot, they ordered the incorrect locomotives, which were technically unsuited to our rail system. The list goes on. He says: "We have seen how SAP, KPMG and McKinsey have been implicated in this regard, and their BEE credentials will be found wanting." Unquestionably correct. However, corruption and theft often requires two parties to collude. The ANC and government have been deviant in all corruption issues relating to SOEs. Nathan Cheiman Northcliff
