It is quite comical when the bunch of rogues in the AU and Southern African Development Community treat a coup as original sin because it is unconstitutional, when what they mean is that they are scared it might happen to them. They have long ago worked out that they can play along with the trappings of democracy because elections can be rigged, unlike the outcome of a coup. In the case of Zimbabwe, what a joke to say that a coup would unseat a constitutionally elected president when it is common cause that he sits there as a result of violence and criminality. The legal doctrine ex injuria jus non oritur (no right may arise from a wrong) certainly applies. Sydney KayeCape Town
