The Group of 20 (G-20) meetings are a fraud. A waste of taxpayers’ money. There should just be a G-20 of the 20 biggest multinational companies (and the media acting for them). Let President Jacob Zuma talk directly to them. We saw a regime change in the US after the last G-20. The multinationals have seized power. No longer content just to bribe, also known as lobbying, one of their fat cats is now occupying the White House. And more former CEOs of mega-multinationals are in his cabinet than before. So, Nelson Mandela should have spoken to Anglo American at Codesa, instead of FW de Klerk. And Zuma should visit the UK to talk to Oppenheimer. Better late than never. Francois JoubertVia e-mail
