The Arab/Palestinian-Israeli war being fought in the Letters section has surely run its course. Yet on Monday, February 12, you allocated more than 50% of the space to this battle.

If there is a solution to the problem, it is not going to be found in Business Day.

There is a very good book titled My Promised Land, written by Ari Shavit, in which he gives a balanced review of the development of that part of the world from the 1890s to after the Second World War. Without taking sides, I have empathy with the statement: "If the Palestinians threw away their arms there would be peace in the region. If Israel were to do the same, there would be no more Israel!"
