Your article "Seek review out of court, Hunter told" (December 1), reported that the former deputy pension funds registrar, Rosemary Hunter, had no legal standing to ask the court to order another investigation into the Financial Services Board’s cancellations project. It is a crying shame the whistle-blower has to face accusations of this nature. We are living in a society where people are encouraged to come forward and speak about wrongdoing, especially suspected criminal activity. We need to protect those who come forward in every way we can. It is a sad indictment of our system when someone such as Hunter has to stand up in an open court to explain why she raised her concerns about the project. Michael Bagraim, MPCape Town
