Everyone has, by now, read about or watched the infantilising of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by US President Donald Trump during a White House press briefing. This column is not about the actual events of that day, though only the discontinuous mind might imagine there are never links between crises in international politics and strategic affairs.
This column is an attempt to make sense of what is happening in the West in the hope of a better understanding of the absurdity of Trump, the war in Ukraine, and the place and role of Nato in Europe and the world. ..
