Gold Fields was formed in 1887 in London during Queen Victoria’s golden jubilee and an office was established at Doornfontein, Johannesburg.
Fast forward 135 years and on the eve of another royal jubilee, this time a platinum celebration for Queen Elizabeth II, and it’s fitting that Gold Fields lifted the lid on a deal with Canadian miner Yamana that will transform it into gold mining royalty...
