In the US and UK people are gearing up for a postvaccine summer, but here in SA it’s another week, another lockdown — complete with pearl-clutching from the booze industry and a genuine cry of pain from those in the entertainment and dining spheres.

Just as pandemic pain isn’t universal geographically, it is also a mixed bag for industries. There are a few for whom Covid-19 was a gift. The warehousing and e-commerce-fulfilment property crowd, for example, are counting their wins.
