It was Maurice Chevalier who sang Thank Heaven For Little Girls. Don’t bet against Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber singing a similar refrain after the series against the British and Irish Lions, only with Marcell Coetzee’s name inserted instead.
Yes, that’s an odd thing to say about a player who wasn’t even included in the Bok squad of 46 players selected for the series, but my crystal ball suggests the new Bulls signing and former Sharks and Ulster stalwart could yet have a big role to play...
