Almost 10% of the more than half a million bridges in the US are deemed to be structurally deficient

As the Sars-Cov-2 saga gathers momentum in Europe with the acknowledgement that the virus has apparently mutated into something far more transmissible, East Asian economies such as that of China are booming.
The US is experiencing soaring rates of infection and certain states such as California and Illinois are clamping down with more rigorous lockdown procedures. And even though vaccines are slowly being rolled out, the sentiment in the West is doom and gloom. It is not yet clear how this situation can be resolved but it may be instructive to look at the Far East for a possible solution. ..
