I have been following the increasingly bizarre story of the continued lockdown of golf. Judging by the four telephone calls I had on Wednesday morning, I am not alone.

The consensus from these calls and others is that what is going on with golf and the decisions being made about it are not only nonsensical, but also make dear old Fawlty Towers look like a well-oiled machine.
