Wednesday dawned sunny in Johannesburg after a week of frankly British weather. Thursday is a big day up north, but given that this column was written in a tiny window wedged between power blackouts, I have scant concern for such matters. An election offering choices so ghastly as to seem comical? The Fortunes put it well, back in the day: You need some sympathy, well so do I / You’ve got your troubles, I’ve got mine.
SA’s problems are ... oh for heaven’s sake, no-one wants to hear another rehash of our problems...
