So much for that. It’s been a rubbish Cricket World Cup. Just rubbish. SA are all but done with three to play, having played ordinary cricket in an ordinary tournament.
They have, as the Guardian noted on Wednesday morning just before the match against New Zealand started, “wildly underwhelmed”. The Guardian also wrote that the World Cup was still waiting for a thriller, a game decided in the final over. ..
