PETER BRUCE: Economic reforms must start with business
I shouldn’t listen to the radio. There is so much going on in SA the last thing I need before a column deadline is a brand new idea. This was going to be about a column written by the Daily Maverick’s Richard Poplak, who is depressed at the National Prosecuting Authority’s failure to hold the Gupta family to account over the Estina dairy project, the proceeds of which were used to fund their lavish family wedding at Sun City in 2013. Then it was going to be about the fuss over the City Press report on attempts, to many indignant denials, to form a liberal breakaway party from the DA. But there are, or have recently been, such attempts.
