What kind of holiday would you like? It really is up to you
For those of you who are finding it difficult to get into the festive holiday spirit there’s a long list of Christmas "cheers" from the folks at escapistmagazine.com that suggest you’re not alone: "Growing older sucks," says Wordsmith Extraordinaire. "I mean, yeah, I still like Christmas, but the childlike innocence … that glee … Santa … all gone." And from Premier Members: "I haven’t looked forward to Christmas since I was 10. I don’t like my family, I don’t like the practice of gift-giving and I don’t like that everyone’s so cheerful. "Not just Christmas, but my ability to care for pretty much any holiday has up and left me. To me, all I see them as hassles. "I have to work awfully hard to rev myself up into even a little merriment. That’s been happening with every special occasion since I’ve hit my mid-teens. Birthday? Meh. Halloween? Meh. Thanksgiving?
