From petitions with hundreds of thousands of signatures to former Constitutional Court judges, a lot (really, a lot) of people want the president gone
It is becoming difficult to track all the many and various calls for President Jacob Zuma to resign or be fired. I have attempted here to amalgamate them in one place. The list is political in nature, and excludes those calls emanating from the media. It is not comprehensive, but is a start. Any suggestions for additions are welcome. • DA leader Mmusi Maimane: "Jacob Zuma has never provided this much-needed leadership, and will not do so in the future. He remains the single biggest impediment to our country’s success. That is why it is more important than ever before that Jacob Zuma steps down as president of the Republic." • DA online petition (currently has 370,000 signatures): "Let’s put SA first!
