President Jacob Zuma and his cronies may sometimes forget it, but we South Africans live in a constitutional democracy. It means the rules apply to you, too, Mr President, even though your party may have a huge majority in Parliament. And it also means that while a lot is going wrong in our country, a lot of things work too. People actually do their jobs. Things actually get done. So cheer up. The courts work — Zuma knows that, just as the two pieces of white trash who forced a black man into a coffin now know. The Treasury works. The media works. The Reserve Bank works. Hell, even the South African Revenue Service works, despite efforts to divert its attentions away from the Zuptas.
