The first US presidential debate in late September was underwhelming for a number of reasons: the quality of oratory skills, lack of any real policy offering and an absence of credible hope for a brighter tomorrow. However, most troubling is the two men the fractured US political system has spewed out as presidential candidates.

The best the US has to offer its people is two rich and aged men profoundly detached from the realities of the day. Each in their own corner, mired in divisive politics to protect their piece of the pie. The calibre of leadership the world’s broken and outdated political systems is producing is disturbing. ..
