Bridge-playing retirees in Florida, US, are having to put up with repeated delays, according to the website Slate. In bridge, whichever suit is declared trump will beat all others in that hand (sound familiar?). If the bidding ends with a "no trump" call, all suits are equal. Problem is, whenever any of the Florida bridge players call "no trump", bidding is interrupted by cries of "I wish" and lengthy discussion of the US president’s latest outrages. If the bridge players would like to focus on the game at hand, and rather save their protests for social media, we submit that #IBidNoTrump would make a great hashtag.
