Government tardiness threatens to sink unions’ job-creation company
More than 300 Nilaflex workers could join unemployed’s ranks if firm is liquidated due to non-payment of donor funding through the department of trade & industry

The Job Creation Trust, set up by the country’s major trade union federations more than two decades ago to address the unemployment crisis, could shut its doors due to delays by the government in releasing donor funding.
The trust was founded by members of Cosatu, the Federation of Unions of SA (Fedusa) and the National Council of Trade Unions (Nactu) following the National Presidential Job Summit in 1998...
