Unclear whether David Mabuza and Pravin Gordhan will be appointed to reconfigured cabinet
President Cyril Ramaphosa still has a number of balls in the air as the time approaches for him to announce his new, reconfigured cabinet. It is not yet clear whether David Mabuza will be available for the position of deputy president, or whether Ramaphosa will have to consider another appointment. Mabuza’s close associates said on Sunday they expected him to be sworn in as an MP before the cabinet is announced.
