Bidvest has named executive director Mpumi Madisa as the industrial group’s next CEO
It may only happen in the 2021 financial year, according to the company announcement, but the fact is that Bidvest has named executive director Mpumi Madisa as the industrial group’s next CEO. This is in line with its "comprehensive succession plan developed and executed over the past several years to … mentor and continue to prepare her for the CEO role". It would make Madisa the only black woman CEO among the (current) top 40 JSE-listed companies. Progress indeed. Until then Lindsay Ralphs remains CEO.
