Tell me about your work. In dictionary terms, copywriting is the act of writing text for the purpose of advertising or other forms of marketing. In ad land, there's a bit more to it, especially when it comes to using digital media. A day in my work life involves developing creative solutions for our clients, which starts with strategically looking for human and consumer insights that we can best translate into what we call the "creative idea". The creative idea includes how we best visually, with wording attached, communicate the attributes of our clients' products in a way that everyday people can relate to, enjoy and be inspired by. You have to be creative to do your work. Where does your inspiration come from? Inspiration comes from many places; mine comes from being a social activist and being part of street culture. I'm also a DJ and a clothing brand collector, so I draw mine from the type of music I play and listen to, my city's nightlife culture and the type of people I meet ...
