There is a glimmer of hope among people living in an open field next to Wembley Stadium in Turffontein in Johannesburg as the city has begun improving their living conditions.After months of wondering what their future holds while having to live in tents‚ trucks have begun to deliver containers designed to serve as mobile homes.Some of the big tents have been moved to make way for the containers and the trees along the open field have been pruned.But when TimesLIVE visited the field this week the mood was not good.At the entrance four men were sitting on the floor with a soccer ball in front of them. Children were running around the field openly and house music was playing in the background. "Don’t be fooled. We are not celebrating anything. It is one of the ladies’ birthday. The guys decided to do something to make her happy.
