Labour federation Cosatu has called for the dismissal of Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown, President Jacob Zuma and the Eskom board, for "protecting the corrupt executives and for abetting the corruption that will come back to bite workers and the public". Zuma must also be held accountable for the corruption at Eskom and all the major state-owned entities, Cosatu spokesman Sizwe Pamla said on Friday. He was reacting to a report on BDlive that Eskom’s board had allegedly frustrated efforts to discipline some of its employees accused of corruption. BDlive carried an article alleging that the Eskom board, led by Zethembe Khoza, was actively working to sabotage disciplinary proceedings against former acting CE Matshela Koko. Despite Koko having been put on special leave three months ago, Eskom admitted on Thursday that it still did not know when it would put him through a disciplinary process.
