Three people close to Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown had dealings with the controversial family or those close to them, according to the Gupta leaks. Citing AmaBhungane and Scorpio investigative units, EWN on Wednesday reported that Brown’s personal assistant, her partner and her director-general have had links with the controversial family. This raises questions about the minister’s perceived inability or failure to act against the Guptas’ key enablers. According to the latest Gupta e-mails, Brown’s personal assistant, Kim Davids, has been a critical link in the making of key decisions, including the selection of new board appointments to state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
