The man accused of planning to kill senior government officials was granted bail of R3‚000 on Monday in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court. Elvis Ramosebudi is accused of approaching wealthy individuals for funding as part of a plan to assassinate President Jacob Zuma and several other government ministers and officials. State Security Minister David Mahlobo‚ Free State premier Ace Magashule and Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane were the first three people Ramosebudi allegedly wanted to assassinate‚ according to revelations made in the court on Friday. It was also alleged that he planned to assassinate Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe. The alleged assassination plans were in documents police found in Ramosebudi’s home in Soshanguve‚ near Pretoria.
