Zuma’s reshuffle sends ANC’s alliance partners into a huddle
Cosatu weighs what it means for ‘radical economic transformation’ and the fight against corruption, and the SACP says the alliance was not consulted

The ANC’s allies, the South African Communist Party and the Congress of South African Trade Unions, will consult their structures on the way forward after President Jacob Zuma’s late-night Cabinet reshuffle. Cosatu general secretary Bheki Ntshalintshali told Business Day on Friday that the federation would have to assess what the removal of Pravin Gordhan as finance minister meant for the "radical economic transformation" agreed to by the ANC — but also what it meant for the fight against corruption and looting.
