A case of fraud, corruption and money laundering against former transport minister Sbu Ndebele was postponed on Thursday to November 10, after an agreement was reached with the state to allow more time for representations. Ndebele, who in October resigned his from his last position as high commissioner to Australia, made a brief appearance before the Commercial Crimes Court in Pretoria on Thursday. Ndebele and his co-accused are accused of arranging kickbacks in exchange for a five-year contract extension for the management of the electronic National Traffic Information System (eNatis) system. The former minister appeared in court, together with his four co-accused — former director-general of the transport department George Mahlalela, Zakhele Thwala, Tebogo Mphuthi and Justin Ncube.
