The transport minister and the Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa) have given assurances that probes into the financial affairs of the embattled agency will not be disrupted by the shake-up of senior management and directors. This comes as axed board members, led by former chairman Popo Molefe, gear up for a court battle they say they must win to avert "permanent harm" to the agency. They are expected to argue against their dismissal on Thursday. One probe has shown that irregular expenditure at Prasa could be as high as R24bn. Terms of reference for a parliamentary inquiry could be announced on Tuesday.
