Cabinet has approved the draft Electronic Deeds Registration Systems Bill for public comment. The bill provides for the development and establishment of an electronic registration system that will be able to handle large volumes of deeds as a result of the government’s land reform programme. The system is also aimed at improving turnaround time for the registration of deeds, Cabinet said in a statement released on Thursday and will provide country-wide access to deeds registration services. Cabinet has also approved a white paper on national civil aviation policy and a national airports development plan, which is aimed at addressing the gaps between the current airport network and the future desired state. "It will guide and support both overall network planning and the development of individual airports," Cabinet said.
