Springbok rugby flank Siya Kolisi is following the example of singer Lira by ignoring internet trolls ranting about his marriage to Rachel‚ who is white. On Facebook at the weekend, there was a rant by Hannes Lottering with a wedding picture of Kolisi and his wife saying: "I pray that this does not happen in my family. Honest to God‚ I would not know what to do." But Kolisi said he would not respond to online trolls. "I ignore things like that. They don’t make any difference in my life. All that this is going to do is just waste my time‚" Kolisi told TMG Digital. On Monday‚ Rachel Kolisi tweeted: "I won’t turn a blind eye. It will not be ignored." She did not provide context to the tweet. The Kolisis have been victims of racist attacks since they married in Cape Town in August after being together for four years.
