The body of a three-year-old swept away during flash floods in Johannesburg two weeks ago has been found‚ emergency services said on Tuesday. "We found a body in Buccleuch closer to the trees. We have given it to the police‚" Johannesburg Emergency Management Services spokesperson Nana Radebe said. Police spokesperson Kay Makubela could not be reached for further information. The toddler was ripped from her father Shadrick Chauke’s arms and swept away by raging torrents as he tried to get them to safety. Chauke said the branch he was holding onto snapped, and his child slipped from his grasp and disappeared‚ as torrential rain engulfed his shack on the Jukskei River near Alexandra, in northern Johannesburg.
