The ANC Youth League has launched another attack on former public protector Thuli Madonsela‚ telling her to "rest in peace". These remarks came on Monday, two weeks after her term of office came to an end. "The ANCYL has noted that the drama queen has left the office and therefore remains not busy these days. As the Youth League‚ we want to wish her well in her DA [Democratic Alliance] endeavours," said league spokesman Mlondi Mkhize. "Now that she’s resting‚ may she rest in peace." Mkhize was briefing reporters at the ANC headquarters in Johannesburg. The league urged new public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to be cautious with her staff as they were responsible for leaking cases to the media and political parties. Mkhize said these leaks were tarnishing the reputation and independence of that office.
