FUGITIVE personal injury attorney Ronald Bobroff has lost control of his firm and the threat of him losing his right to practise law in SA looms large.Theunis Grobler, the Law Society of the Northern Provinces’ director, said: "We got the curator’s order to control the firm … (but) striking the names (of the accused) off the roll (of attorneys) is pending."Mr Grobler said the law society was awaiting a decision of the High Court Pretoria on whether Mr Bobroff would remain on the attorneys’ roll after it granted the society curatorship of Ronald Bobroff and Partners.The law society got the curatorship under the authority of Johan van Staden, its head of membership, and will use the control to complete the transactions the firm was involved in and recover money, believed to run in the millions of rand, for claimants owed by its trust.Mr Bobroff and his son Darren fled to Australia last week, a day before they were supposed to appear before the High Court in Pretoria on fraud and money...
